MN CGA Free Damage Prevention Meetings

Every year the MN Regional Common Ground Alliance offers FREE Damage Prevention Meetings to prepare your crews for the coming construction season and review best practices in Call Before You Dig.

MN Legislative Session Starts Soon – DONATE to the PAC Now!

Once again MUCA will be heading to the Capitol to encourage investment in infrastructure spending to keep your businesses thriving and growing.

The MUCA PAC contributes to candidates who support the issues of concern to underground utility contractors.

MUCA Member Update

DEED Awards Four Greater MN Cities $5.4M Infrastructure Grants

DEED awarded the funding from its Greater Minnesota Business Development Public Infrastructure Grant Program for projects in Royalton, Brooten, Marshall and Luverne. The grants were approved during the fourth quarter of 2017.

Projects include sewer improvements in Brooten; storm and sanitary sewer, and water main improvements in Luverne; water and sewer service in Royalton; water main, storm and sanitary sewer improvements in Marshall.

The Builders Group (TBG) has announced training opportunities that are coming up in February and March. Sessions include Excavation Awareness & Planning, Confined Space Awareness & Planning, and OSHA 10 Hour.

Clean Water Construction Coalition Update

The Clean Water Construction Coalition (CWCC) report for February notes the comments from the President’s State of the Union Address, and his goal to spend $1.5 Trillion on infrastructure. The update includes briefings on the Senate and House Committees on Public Works and Transportation, as well as the FY 18 Appropriation Status.

MUCA is a Steering Committee Member with CWCC.
