MN CGA Free Damage Prevention Meetings

Every year the MN Regional Common Ground Alliance offers FREE Damage Prevention Meetings to prepare your crews for the coming construction season and review best practices in Call Before You Dig.

These sessions are located across the state in the winter and early spring. To find one near you and reserve your spot, visit the MN CGA website here.

Inability to Cope with Losing?

My ‘new’ next door neighbor is from Boston and is an avid Patriots fan and full-time Tom Brady worshiper.

Recently, I asked if the Vikings should face the Patriots in the big game, would we be able to remain friends. He struggled and said if the Vikings won, I’d have to avoid him for at least 48 hours… no wait, make that a week.

Having lived through 4 Super Bowl losses, I know just getting there is exciting and I have no expectations, except to enjoy the game and hope for the best. So he’ll just have to live with my house decorations… until the Vikes lose. If they keep winning… it stays up!

Tax Reform Clears Way for Infrastructure Package

In its latest report, the Clean Water Construction Coalition reports that the White House plans to send to Congress “a detailed infrastructure principles document” next month.

The plan is expected to emphasize a greater role for states and localities in funding their infrastructure needs (with or without private sector involvement) and to promote that via four pots of money – repatriated funds, general revenues from budget cuts, tax incentives, and public-private partnership arrangements.

MUCA is a Steering Committee Member of the Clean Water Construction Coalition.
