MUCA @ 40

Interesting tidbits as we come to a close on 40 years of service:

On June 7, 1978, Stan Hemphill, Thomas Schany and Lawrence Gordon signed MUCA’s Articles of Incorporation, which were then notarized and recorded in the county of Anoka, and subsequently filed with the Secretary of State.

The first “Last Ditch Open” was held on October 5, 1981 with 76 golfers attending.

Our first woman Board President was Ruth Hunter back in 1987.

MUCA Members have built 4 Miracle League Fields in St. Cloud, Blaine, Rochester and Woodbury.

Education and Workforce Development Help Request

MUCA is seeking talented individuals to help us upgrade our Erosion Control re-certification training and testing.

As part of our strategic plan, we have some specific initiatives to save contractors time and money in recertification of their Erosion Control Site Management certification.

The initial meeting will be in person; all subsequent meetings will be monthly using Zoom technology (free on your phone or computer).

Please contact me if you’re interested in helping us, help you!
